Day 314 - 321 - 안녕... for now

Continuing my last post, that day, after the camp ends, I packed up, got on the school bus to Daejeon and spent the night in Daejeon with 가혜 and Sitta in a quite good hotel named Sharp =p...

Saturday 22
We took the 4:10 bus and arrived in 인천공항 around 7... in time to pick mum, aunt and Yuda.
We already reserved a taxi to bring us to Seoul Hostel where we'll put our bags for a while. So we did.
For the first day, we visited 인사동, 명동 (where we had our last lunch with Sitta and Onnie) and went to Itaewon Land where I took them to experience the shocking culture of public bath ㅋㅋㅋㅋ







Sunday 23
We woke up quite early, went to the Express Bus Terminal and off we went to 논산, the small town I'm so used with but had to say goodbye to.
I brought them to my school, introduced them to my life. I wanted to bring them to 옹기촌 but the snow was totally awful that the car wouldn't pick us up. Even Kentucky wouldn't deliver as well. Lucky Tonki Tonki still did its part. So dinner Geumgang style.





Monday 24
Time to say goodbye to my school... I logged out, said goodbye to everyone... and with the rented car, off we went to 설악산.
We stayed the night in a pension in 주문진, 동해 and had good dinner at home.
We left the mothers at home and went out for a karaoke.





Tuesday 25
We went to saw the sunrise before we went off to Phoenix Resort, 남이섬, Little France where we only stopped by outside, and went back to Seoul.
At night, after dinner, 승연 and I had to go back to school just to take my suitcase which should be left since there was no space left in the car before.
So there we went 서울-금강-서울






Wednesday 26
전주.... at night I planned to take them to have 삼계탕 but it was too cold outside so instead we had 굽네 치킨

남대문, 명동, 동대문



Friday 28
남산, 명동, 강남 (where I spotted JYP building), 홍대 (meeting up with 오빠 @오빠딹), 서울역 (shopping @롯데마트)





Saturday 29
My flight back home...
leaving the land of my dream


321 days I've spent in euphoria (unless I miscount ㅋㅋㅋ) and I thank God for every joy and even sadness I experienced there. And now it's time to say hi to the real world... unlike any other choices I've made in the past, never once I regret my decision of going to Korea... I've chosen my own path. Now I've to go back to my homeland. But I might be back there... to a country I love. Until then, goodbye...

Day 310 - 313 - Camp to Its End

We had alot going on around here...
There was a trip to Gongju which us, foreigner teachers managed to ran away from.
Alot of laundries.
옹기촌 with all foreigners left (well not totally all...)
On our way there, there were 17 people in one car (18 with the driver) though we foreigners were only 11.
We also had dinner and ice cream in Nonsan (me, Sitta, Onnie, 승연)
And today is the last day for almost everyone to be here.
We ended the camp... with some performances. And I know I'll miss those little angels.









And we are now ready to go. I have few hours before I am picking my mom, bro and aunt from the airport. Then I am leaving the country... Wooow... my long journey is going to end soon. I am now sitting in my room, thinking ahead and feeling everything mixed up together... This is weird... but this is happening..

Day 308 - 309 - Just Doing the Camp

These 2 days I've just been doing the camp... it's been fun and I gave these kids more freedom than I ever had to my other students... because I just feel like they deserve more fun ^^
Anyway yesterday, we had sport game, and Joey kinda forced us, the foreigner teachers to participate in the game, which in the end gave me embarrassment for making a fool out of myself and for making my team lost the game. Well only one actually... but still...

Today, I made them draw and took pics of them and with them...
Julie - the bright girl who acts older than she is
Sally - who does everything slowly and correctly
Michelle - little miss sunshine that everyone loves
Candy - who draws really well and love cute boys
Ji Eun - who tries hard in class but likes to bully the guys
Bean - who never paid attention but tries hard when challenged
Las - mr. bright that fills the class with his crazy act
Gem - quiet, shy yet has determination and creativity
Daniel - the lovable boy with cute ideas
Tom - the extremely polite and talkative boy with cute accent that everyone follows
Ruth - little miss perfectionist who will do the best until the end
Amy - the shy girl but always first to follow whatever told in class

Guess which ones mine... they are the same size =(


At night, we had a gathering (translate: chicken party) for the teachers of the camp which made me feel guilty because I ate alot at almost midnight =(
